Researchers at Duality startup Super.tech, the University of Chicago, Argonne National Laboratory, Amazon Braket, and Princeton University won a Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC).
The paper – “Optimized Quantum Program Execution Ordering to Mitigate Errors in Simulations of Quantum Systems” – describes a novel strategy for simulating the time evolution of a physical system at a quantum mechanical level of detail. These molecular simulations, called Hamiltonian simulations, play a key role in physics and chemistry applications.
